How to Test Your VPN
Turning a VPN on isn't proof it's working. A few quick checks confirm it's hiding your real IP and not leaking through a side channel.

Check your IP and location
- With the VPN off, open our home page and note your IP address and city.
- Connect your VPN and pick a server in another country.
- Reload the home page. The IP, ISP, and location should now match the VPN server, not your real connection.
Check for a WebRTC leak
- Keep the VPN connected.
- Open our IP leak test.
- If it shows your real public IP, WebRTC is leaking. Turn off WebRTC in your browser or use a VPN that blocks it.
Check for a DNS leak
Run the VPN check while connected. If the network owner shown is your real ISP rather than the VPN, your DNS may be leaking. Enable your VPN's own DNS or its leak protection in settings.
