Download vs Upload Speed
Your speed test shows two numbers, and they're not the same thing. Download is data coming to you. Upload is data going out. Most home plans give you far more of the first than the second.

How much do you need?
For a typical household, 100 Mbps download covers streaming and browsing comfortably. Upload is where cable plans fall short. Aim for at least 10 Mbps upload if you video call or upload often. Fiber usually gives equal upload and download, which is why it feels smoother for remote work.
